International Weekender

Kevan's Stag

Berlin, Germany

April 8, 2022

When you and the majority of your friends are busy teachers you may not necessarily have the time to organise a Stag-Do for 19 people. Kevan approached YourStagDone to plan and organise an International Weekender event that fit in with the busy schedules of the group. By reviewing appropriate destinations and travel timings we pitched a weekend in Berlin which ticked all the boxes.

As the majority of the group lived in Ayr and were flying from Edinburgh early in the morning we arranged for the group to be picked up by private coach which included multiple pick-up locations for members living on route to the airport. The flight was a group booking which meant the boys were able to check-in individually in advance meaning it was straight to the bar upon arrival. Once in Berlin, the group had been given detailed instructions for getting the train to their hotel which was specially selected in the centre of Berlin. The group were booked into private twin rooms, all organised in advance by YourStagDone.

We had booked the group into various bars on the first night and rounded the night off with a dinner booking at an authentic German beerhall. During our consultation phase with the group leader we had discussed night-time activities but they had requested we leave that time free for the group to do their own things which we were more than happy to oblige to.

The 2nd day started with an inclusive breakfast in the hotel followed by a Beer Bike tour of Berlin. This was all booked and paid for in advance by YourStagDone so the group simply turned up and got back on the bike. After the beer bikes the group had requested a place to watch football so we had offered some recommendations of good places close to their hotel. The afternoon was left free for the group to do whatever they wanted and then a steak-dinner was arranged at a popular local restaurant. The group were able to skip the queue thanks to their advanced booking and the rest of the evening was left free for the group as requested again by the leader.

The final day allowed the group time to explore Berlin at their leisure before a late-afternoon flight back to Scotland. Upon arrival, the private coach was waiting to take the group back home.
