Dave's Stag - Example

Best Man Adam

Manchester, UK

June 17, 2022

Adam contacted YourStagDone to help organise his best friend Dave's Stag-Do. During the initial consultation phase Adam didn't have much of a plan as to where the Stag-Do would take place or what the agenda would look like, all he knew was that it should be based in the UK and fit within the budget of £300 per person. After discussing a few options we suggested Manchester as there were members of the party travelling from various towns and cities across Scotland and England and it was an easy central meeting point.

We booked accommodation for 14 people in a City Centre hotel under guidance from Adam that they wanted a central location and that breakfast could be provided for those that wanted it. We also booked group train tickets for the attendees coming from Glasgow and Edinburgh which were distributed to the Best Man in the days before travelling.

On the Friday night, because the group were arriving at different times, we were asked to provide some suggestions for places to eat and the group took us up on our suggestion of Listo Burrito, one of the best Mexican restaurants in Manchester. After dinner, we had booked Junkyard Golf for the group and had arranged for drinks to be available on arrival.

On Saturday we had been asked to plan an action packed day so it was an early start for the group to go paintballing at Delta Force Paintballing. As this was slightly out of the city, we had pre-booked and pre-paid taxis to collect the group from the hotel meaning they just had to make it out of bed! After paintballing, the taxis were waiting to take the group back to the city and on to their next activity aboard the MCR Party Bike (via a quick shower of course). After this, we had been asked to book a steak restaurant for the evening meal and we were able to secure a private dining room in Hawksmoor Steakhouse with a special deal for the group. For the evening, we provided a list of bars and clubs in the Northern Quarter for those of which that were still up for it.

On Sunday, people were heading home at various times throughout the day so we had been asked not to book any activities for the group. We provided suggestions for cultural things to do on the Sunday morning and a few of the group went to the National Football Museum before the group set up stall in a pub we suggested to kill time before the long journey home.

Even though Adam didn't have a developed plan of what he wanted Dave's Stag to look like, by consulting with him through the process and offering alternatives when our first suggestions didn't suit, it made the weekend run seamlessly and he still felt like he was involved in the process and that it was organised to meet Dave's interests! It's Your Stag, Done.
